Creaker the Grackle is half the size of a crow. He belongs to the Blackbird family. His feathers are iridescent, and his eyes are yellow. The female's feathers are plain black, although shiny. He takes eggs from unwatched nests.
DARK-EYED JUNCO (Junco hyemalis) Bird Spotting: This medium-sized sparrow can vary in color, but is generally slate gray with a white belly and, of course, dark eyes. White along the sides of the tail can be seen when the bird is in flight. Some birds have buff flanks.
