Southern Style Deep Fried Oysters I was raised with a tradition of going to my Uncle Roy's house Christmas morning & having oysters. We would have fried & stewed. Some family members would eat them raw but I just couldn't. We finally started meeting at Dad's Christmas morning & in recent years I cooked the oysters. Christmas 2011 I tried my 1st raw oyster! Taste wise they were about the same but I think I prefer them fried over all.
