I remember my grandmother always had on an apron! (this is a fantastic photograph) Wearing an apron to protect your limited wardrobe. Apron's had multi-purposes.I too remember by Grandmama always wearing an apron.

Aprons- reminds me of my grandma- she always wore one. She and my mother sewed beautiful aprons. I think that is why I like to wear aprons.

Memories in the kitchen-I always wanted to be in the kitchen with my grandmother.  I would fold up my apron at the waist so it wouldn't drag on the flour, wrap a scarf around my head, and do whatever she did.  Still do!:

This is what my grandmother's kitchen looked like. It was off the living room behind a heavy red velvet curtain. She called it the scullery.
