Abandoned Hartwood Hospital was a Victorian insane asylum in North Lanarkshire.

A picture of Danvers State Lunatic Asylum in Danvers, Mass. This one was closed in 1992 and was used in the film "Session 9". I've also seen it on some of those ghost-hunting shows.

Abandoned, this is a spooky place. In Jane Toppan, convicted killer nurse, was imprisoned here. She died here 36 years later. Fascinating bit of history.
