Amish Cabbage & Potato Casserole from Food.com: This recipe intrigued me because I'm drawn to Amish cooking. Although I really liked it just as written (it's tasty comfort food), I believe it has the potential to be tweaked by just the right Zaar chef to make it a winner in the inexpensive-yet-delicious category (if there is one)...So have at it, Zaar chefs!!! :)
Amish Cabbage Casserole Cut up 1 head of cabbage. Cook until almost tender. Drain and put into baking dish.Sprinkle salt and pepper over top. Add 3/4 cup of grated white American cheese and 1/2 can of cream of mushroom soup. Cover with buttered Ritz cracker crumbs and bake at 350 for 30 to 35 minutes. Also very good using asparagus!
