Willy, a 9-year-old who raced under the name William G, winning at Gulfstream and Delaware, and rider Shannon Swann are decked out for the inaugural "Walk for Roz." The 1-mile walk to benefit the Susan G. Komen for the Cure fight against breast cancer honored the memory of long-time Association Veterinarian Dr. Rosalyn Randall and drew about 100 participants--blessings to all!
Close friends and co-workers, including the late Dr. Rosalyn Randall's companion Bob Paterno, greet the winning connections after the 7th race, the Susan G. Komen for the Cure Purse in memory of Dr. Randall, the track's long-time Association Veterinarian, who passed away last spring of breast cancer. Cindy Patrick's gelding, Hiyaben, trained by R. Gary Patrick and ridden by apprentice jockey Ricardo Mejias, won the wreath of pink daisies! (February 16, 2013)
