Saint Carmella of Santa Fe, Protectress of All Dogs and Puppies, is a very new saint, a saint that needed to happen and one that wears a very beautiful outfit. She is a Saint from my own imagination. Saint Carmella is totally Santa Fe, from her silver and turquoise jewelry, to her embroidered cowboy boots, black lace shawl and gorgeous tie-dyed dress with matching black and white hat. The Santa Fe placed two orders for H16-44's, the first order was for ten units (#'s 2800-2809, later 3000-3009) and were what would be considered Phase 1. Atchison, Topeka, & Santa Fe #5011, a 2-10-4 "Texas" type locomotive constructed by the Baldwin Locomotive Works in 1944.  One of thirty-six "Texas" locomotives built between 1930-1944 (twenty-five of which burnt oil), #5011 was designed for fast freight service, and its 74" diameter wheels are the largest of its type.  The locomotive currently resides at the Museum of Transportation in Saint Louis, Missouri.
