His Royal Highness Prince Carl Johan Arthur of Sweden with his mother Crown Princess Margareta, circa 1917. The Prince was son of King Gustav VI, King of Sweden. Count Carl John lost his title when he married a "commoner" in 1946 but was given his new title by the Grand Duchess of Luxembourg. Crown Prince Gustaf Adolf of Sweden, his wife Crown Princess Margaret of Connaught, and three of their five children. Princess Margaret was a granddaughter of Queen Victoria. After Margaret's death Prince Gustaf married Lady Louise Mountbatten, a former princess of Battenberg and the aunt of Prince Phillip of Edinburg.
