Dayflower (Commelina diffusa) (kom-uh-LIN-uh dye-FEW-sah) is an edible herb. An invasive weed with pretty flowers. There also are Commelina erecta and Commelina communis. How do you tell them apart? The erecta tends to stand up on its own, the communis crawls.
