Watermelon Tourmaline Crystal. One of the world class specimens found in the Cranberry pocket of the Cruziero Mine in Minas Gerais, Brazil. It's also one of the two largest and well preserved long single Crystal Watermelon Tourmalines discovered to date from Cruziero. The many long pinnacles in the crown demands attention and the bright pink/red colors are a promise of what lies within. This and more rare mineral specimens for sale on CuratorsEye.com
Large Tourmaline with Pocket. This giant green tourmaline, displays great chatoyance (cat’s eye effect). During its growth it very likely sustained damage that created a large cavity that resembles a pocket inside the stone. This cavity is filled with Albite and Lepidolite crystals. This tourmaline is a single crystal with a massive termination that is larger (13x8.75x11 inches) than any ever found in the Cruziero Mine.
