The Old English Sheepdog was developed in 19th-century Britain for herding sheep. It is good with children, easygoing, & comfortable in an urban environment, although it does bark loudly at strangers. In fact, the Old English is so affectionate that most training must be directed to limiting its demands for attention. The Old English does not tolerate heat well & requires regular grooming.
