When you walk down the pathway you enter the castle by this big red gateway. I loved the way the view hit me as soon as i passed the gateway so I have used two techniques to emphasise the red gate and using a textured black and white to show the history.
The Château de Belcastel (not to be confused with the castle of the same name further south on the Aveyron) is a private residence located adjacent to the village of Lacave, departement of Lot, near Rocamadour, France.
A modern-day minstrel was busking at the entrance to the Wartburg Castle. It is believed that in a contest of minstels, the Sängerkrieg was held in this castle, and this became part of Wagner's Tannhäuser.
Rode down Cavedale today on MTB with the lads first part was slippy mud & I almost crashed into the back of a mate second part was steep & rocky water fall it was like a cross between enduro & trials. All good fun.
