2002 Subaru B4 Legacy RS30 3.0l F6 Subaru H6 Boxer AWD. The Legacy RS30 was a sports sedan produced from late 2000-2002. Omitting the famous Subaru Boxer F4 that made Subaru famous, the RS30's Boxer F6 was extraordinarily smooth, silent, and incredibly fast, probably faster than the Boxer F4 engines. Such a remarkable car that was sadly very underrated and not as appreciated as it should have been.

2008 Volvo S80 4.4L V8 AWD. The first generation S80 built from 1996-2006 ditched the traditional boxy Volvo style for a more curvaceous and classier style. The second generation continued on this theme. Making the vehicle even more elegant, safer, and this time providing it with a combination of AWD and a compact, Yamaha developed 4.4L 232kw V8, thus allowing the S80 V8 to compete with a German market it hadn't been able to before.

2000 TVR Cerbera 4.0l Straight six/ 4.2l V8/4.5l V8. The Cerbera was a revolution for TVR. It was the first TVR to utilise its own engines, not borrowing from Rover, Ford, and Triumph, and it was also the first TVR to use a 2+2 seating layout. It was at one point one of the fastest production cars in the world. This was due to an extremely lightweight composite fibreglass body and an extremely compact engine in both straight six and V8 formats. Truly a legend in British automotive history.

Heavily based on the Aston Martin Rapide S and heavily borrowing styling cues from the 1970's Aston Martin Lagonda the Taraf was an instant success. Combining supercar performance with ultimate luxury and extremely limited production numbers it was originally restricted to 200 units in Dubai only. 1993 Subaru Alcyone SVX 3.3l boxer 6 luxury sports coupe. Designed by Giorgetto Giugiaro of ItalDesign to look reminiscent of Italian Sportscars of the period, and to be as sleek as possible, the SVX was a success story design wise. The engine was another revelation. Carried on in Legacy and Outback models, just at a smaller 3.0l capacity. As was the AWD drivetrain. What was not a success was the timing and price. Like the BMW 8 series, the SVX was just another tale of bad early 1990's…

1995 Porsche 928 GTS, 5.4l V8. The GTS was last hurrah of an eighteen year run for Porsches 928 series. It was originally designed as a replacement for the rear engined 911 models and instead ran along side it. Offered as a sporty alternative to luxury cars of the day it offered a luxurious ride and interior, yet supercar levels of performance and handling. It was and still is the only Porsche coupe to offer a front engined V8. Although sales were originally slow, it quickly gained a…

2004-2009 Mercedes Benz CLS63 AMG. 6.2l V8 'four door sports coupe.' One of the first cars I absolutely adored, a stunning looking car which spawned a plethora of cars falling under the 'four door sports coupe banner.' First appearing in Frankfurt as the 'Vision CLS' in 2003, it used the same underpinnings as the E Class and was quickly patented. The CLS is the largest vehicle development project in Mercedes-Benz's history.
