Have you ever felt that your Revising and Editing Checklists you use with your whole class don’t address your students’ individual needs? Then this is the product for you! I created these Writing Checklists to use with students during writing conferences with me, and also when they revise and edit (alone and with a partner).
This is part of the free editing set from First Grade Wow. For kindergarten, I use it to show what they can do (smiley face in the check box) and what their newest personal challenge is (I highlight the check box). They keep it in their writing folders. It helps differentiate learning and gives each student focus. There are many other useful pages in the packet, too. All free!
This product is perfect for students in grades 3-12 who struggle with the writing process, specifically editing and revision. With easy to use editing and revision checklists, your students are sure to increase their writing abilities! I've also included a teacher editing checklist and revision checklist with examples for suggestions.
Using examples of five basic parts of speech, learners practice constructing their own descriptive sentences. Teachers can decide to use all five parts of speech in one go or to use the provided levels as multiple entry points for their students. Words in red must be used together to maintain subject-verb agreement (concord).
6+1 Writing Traits/Qualities of Good Writing Checklist is written in kid friendly language. Students use the checklist to check their writing to make sure they have included the writing traits. Each trait has a reflection stem for the students to reflect on their writing. The 1st page is a full page checklist with reflection stems. 2nd is half page that can be glued into a composition notebook.
