Easy & Hands-On Segmenting Sounds Activity for Kindergarten | Natalie Lynn Kindergarten

Learning to segment and blend sounds is an important phonics skill for beginning reader! This segmenting sounds activity is great for kindergarten small groups, literacy centers, and more!

Use these segmenting sliders as a fun way to practice reading CVC words. This activity has 2 versions: one with the word and one without.

Students will tap out the beginning, middle, and ending sound on the green, yellow, and red dots and then blend it together using the slider arrow. These are great to use in small groups, guided reading, one-on-one, or independently as students become familiar with them.
