the Cow Parade is a traveling public art exhibit that asks local artists to paint a hundred or more life-sized fiberglass cows, which are then displayed throughout the region, both indoors and out. The Cow Parade has appeared in cities all over the world and dozens of major U.S. cities, including Chicago, Houston and Atlanta. watermelon - close up
Aquarium Cow :-) ~The Chicago Department of Cultural Affairs presented Cows on Parade. Cows, not real ones, but fiberglass-facsimiles of life-sized cows, 300 of them, were painted, decorated, immortalized and set out to graze around downtown Chicago for the public's enjoyment. In other words, it was a public display of art on the hoof.
