SAN DIEGO (Aug. 23, 2013) - Sailors and Marines man the rails of the amphibious assault ship USS Boxer (LHD 4) departs San Diego for a scheduled deployment to the U.S. 5th and 7th fleet areas of responsibility. Boxer is the flagship of the Boxer Amphibious Ready Group, which also includes the amphibious transport dock ship USS New Orleans (LPD 18) and amphibious dock landing ship USS Harpers Ferry (LSD 49).
