Strongheart (1917 - 1929) the German Shephard became one of the earliest canine silent film stars of his time, earning a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Some of his movie credits include "White Fang (1925) and "Return of Boston Blackie" (1927). In 1929, while he was filming a scene for an upcoming movie, he slipped and accidentally made contact with a studio light. He was badly burned and died a few days later
