The Abingdon Apocalypse - folio 5v - 6r Origin, England dated to 1275, possibly from Abingdon Abbey. Images from The British Library Manuscript Website http://www.bl.uk/manuscripts/FullDisplay.aspx?ref=Add_MS_42555
Tinted drawing from one of the twelve surviving leaves of a psalter from the Benedictine Abbey of Chertsey, Surrey, c.1220-30, probably of London origin. Mary wears a mantle and two dresses, with the green overdress pulled up to reveal the yellow (?) underdress. The green overdress may also be a misreading of the green mantle--I can't tell.
