The first way is to tack down Crayolas in a row all along one side. Then, take a hair dryer on it’s hottest setting and hold it above a section of Crayolas at an angle so that when the wax starts to melt, the wax will start to spread across the canvas.    The other way is to take a spare glue gun and shove Crayolas through it.
