Cleaning as meditation I tend to look at cleaning tasks as one dreaded chore after another. There never seems to be enough time for cleaning and when we tackle the list, it’s always a mad rush to bust through it. Cleaning can be a form of mindfulness though and rituals are often calming. Next time you clean, put your full attention into each task, concentrate, and do them slowly. Look at cleaning (and exercise!) as a stress relief in your day rather than a chore.
“To the attentive eye, each moment of the year has its own beauty, and in the same field, it beholds, every hour, a picture which was never seen before, and which shall never be seen again” Ralph Waldo Emerson (picture taken by my sister)
Buddhism - Path To Peace In our consciousness, there are seed of happiness, such as a loving heart, the ability to let go, joy, calm and feedom. But these seeds need water everyday or they will never thrive. When we are able to nourish these seeds with mindfulness, they will burst into bloom and offer us the flowers and fruits of happiness. ~Thich Nhat Hanh~ Spread by www.fairtrademarket.com supporting #fairtrade.
