Harbour Lights Twilight view of Sydney Harbour Bridge, Sydney Opera House and Circular Quay. This photograph was taken at Milsons Point just outside the entrance to Luna Park. It's about 20 minutes after sunset and the eastern sky is fading from lavender to a deep navy blue. A long exposure smooths out the water and allows the patterns and shadows created by the bridge lighting to be seen in the reflections on the harbour surface.
Located on Lake Michigan, at the mouth of the Chicago River in Chicago Illinois, the Chicago Harbor Lock makes it possible for ships to pass between the Chicago River and Lake Michigan as it equalizes the water level between the lake and the river.
