In this valentine to modern romance, book superstore magnate Joe Fox and independent book shop owner Kathleen Kelly fall in love in the anonymity of the Internet - both blissfully unaware that he's trying to put her out of business.
While subjected to the horrors of World War II Germany, young Liesel finds solace by stealing books and sharing them with others. In the basement of her home, a Jewish refugee is being sheltered by her adoptive parents.
3/5. Really really intense! This movie teeters on the "no one is safe" line and rides that all the way through to the end. Peril starts about 10 minutes in and doesn't let up. Pretty gory in parts and not for the faint of heart.
