Gem size badge with Ferrotype portrait of Lincoln known as the "Speed" portrait. Lincoln received a Bible from Joshua Speed's mother and the President later reciprocated the gift with an inscribed photo to her. Portrait was taken in 1861, however, this badge is most likely made to use for 1864 Presidential Campaign. (Speed was one of Lincoln's closest early day friends in his Springfield years and they were partners in a General Store). *s*
