Ohio University Today, Spring 1994. "Trent and company return 'Cats to top of the MAC." Gary Trent, often called "The Shaq of The MAC", helped lead the Ohio University Men's basketball team to a 25-8 season in 1994, which included the MAC regular-season title. Trent went on to the NBA after being drafted in 1995 by the Milwaukee Bucks. He played for the Portland Trail Blazers, Toronto Raptors, Dallas Mavericks and Minnesota Timberwolves before retiring in 2007. :: Ohio University Archives
