In 1944, this photo captures Hungarian Jews wearing the Star of David. The Star of David is a unique symbol in Judaism. It was created to explain that Jews were shielded by God (like David). This illustrates externalization in social construction because the Star of David helped Jewish people communicate and identify with other people of the same religion as well as created an important interpretation of their culture.
