Cheesecake is my weakness when it comes to desserts. By nature I prefer salty foods over sweet foods, but that doesn’t mean that I don’t enjoy desserts or have cravings for sweets. I was in full-on “give me sweets!” mode the other day. It was almost overwhelming. I went to the store and bought a …

Dinner with friends tonight. She texted this morning, "Can you please bring #Dessert?!" Ummmmmm......obv. I couldn't wait to make + bring these Raw Blueberry Cheesecake Bars. Not my recipe. But they are my friend, Vani's - aka @thefoodbabe. I put the link for recipe in my profile. 🥄 . . . They do *not* disappoint. Ever. And I've made them many times for people with all different food preferences. But they are: #glutenfree, #Vegan (if you use Maple vs Honey), & #dairyfree . . . #fitfluential…

A legendary French chef once said this duck and beans stew was the god of southwestern French food. He was wrong. Cassoulet is the god of ALL FOODS. Nothing — and I mean NOTHING — can match the comfort brought to you by a good cassoulet. It is the most heartwarming and delicious dish there is. Making a good cassoulet takes some time and effort, but it's all worth it.Find a recipe here and here. What to drink: A red wine, preferably from the southwest of France. For dessert: A French apple…

Let's face it: sugar tastes GOOD. From the day we are born, we are hardwired to prefer sweet foods. But for many of us, this gets way out of hand. We no longer crave only the good sweet foods like fruits, but we crave desserts, candy, sodas and more--all day long. I'll ad

This Honey Green Tea or Matcha Jelly is another healthy and an easy to do dessert. I didn't add any filling like red bean/azuki paste into the jelly as I prefer to have the light delicate refreshing green tea and honey flavour. They taste so perfect after

Soooo this just happened. It's a flourless chocolate cake with hard-cider infused chocolate ganache. And guess what it's Paleo! Now I'm not gonna say it's necessarily healthy but let's not get hung up on that. . When I eat super clean I CRAVE sugar -- I don't typically have a sweet tooth (I prefer savory) but when you cut all processed food out of your diet you realize just how much sugar you were used to getting in a day. . So I like to make Paleo desserts -- like cake or cookies -- and…

Easy Baklava from Food.com: This recipe was given to me years ago by a friend who was known as the "go to person" for desserts at work. It does takes some short cuts & purists may not like that. But it sure does taste good & it is SO much easier than traditional baklava. I prefer this recipe to the ones with honey.

All desserts are not created equal.  And this dessert will give all others a major complex.  It is a complete blow to their self esteem. I am not a big fan of most cakes.  I prefer cookies or brownies or something hot and fruity – in my world, cakes are too bland and fluffy and borning. …

Baklava from Food.com: Traditionally Greek. Always good. Once baked, the baklava has to stand for 3 hours to overnight to absorb the syrup into its layers. Whereas it is most common to find baklava made entirely with walnuts here in Greece, I prefer a combination with almonds. Sometimes I'll make the baklava using pistachios, or sometimes a 1/2-1/2 mixture of pistachios and almonds. They're all great variations on a delicious theme.
