US Marine Lt Mitchell Paige, recipient of the Congressional Medal of Honor. Lt Mitchell won the medal for his breaking a Japanese regimental assault on Guadalcanal singlrhandedly. He survived WW2 and fought in Korea as well. He died at age 85 in 2003.
