Anthony Shaffer as well as former Associate Deputy Attorney General Bruce Fein denounced President Barack Obama at a news conference Sept. 21 for overstepping his authority in wartime and warned that unless war powers are restored to Congress, the country could soon be involved in a battle with Iran.

In 1942, a young Iranian boy gave an adopted bear cub to the Polish army stationed in Iran. As Wojtek (pronounced VOY-tek) grew, he was unafraid of humans, and became their unofficial mascot. This photo shows him playing with one of the soldiers. After the war, he accompanied Polish soldiers to Scotland and lived out his life at the Edinburgh Zoo.
