*ABRAHAM LINCOLN ~ in His White House Office. This is one of the only photographs of Abraham Lincoln in his White House office. It was taken by Anthony Berger, a Brady operator, to assist the artist Francis B. Carpenter in his massive painting of Lincoln reading the Emancipation Proclamation to his cabinet.
Marie Antoinette's Death Mask. This is Antoinette's face after she was beheaded and was cast by Madame Tussaud. It can be seen at the Madame Tussaud's in London along with Louis XVI (the king) and Robespierre.
Taken at the time of his autopsy and currently on display at the National Museum of Health and Medicine, Washington DC. In 2007, Dr. John Sotos studied his face and medical records and concluded that he suffered from a disease called Multiple Mucosal Neuroma Syndrome and had he not been assassinated, he would have died soon anyway.
