Basically step one when it came to draping he bodice, placing cf and lining the bust line. I noticed how the piece draped over the shoulder and around the side.

In order for the proper shape to be formed around the body, cutting off excess fabric and snipping at the neckline ensured that the piece of fabric was transforming into a properly fitted bodice.

This dart shaping is the same type as the three darts as before, except the armhole dart has been moved down under the bust line. this is unique in the way that looking at it visually is interesting, but the shaping of the darts is wrong because there is still bubbling and rippling in between the darts.

After only making 2 darts on the bottom of the bodice I made them more narrow and added a bust dart. There are less drag lines and I feel like it visually looks better.

Played around with creating the fewest amount of darts. It ended up being 2 fairly long darts on the bottom of the bodice. There are still drag lines.

no.2 Creating a shape for the bodice. I had so many ideas for this. You can create any neckline, drape shape. I thought to myself, "is this what all designers feel like, is this what Zac Posen feels like?"

this is one of the collars we did in class. it is basically a basic stand collar except taller and doesn't sit along the neck but straight up instead. the extra fabric should be added to the neck. if you slash and spread, it would be easiest to add. also if u clip at the neck line would make it easier to create a proper stand.

no.5 With second piece, create dart in top area of chest. Honestly, this drape was confusing, not because I didn't understand how to sew it, but I still don't understand how someone thought of this idea to take two pieces of fabric and magically combine them to create an illusion.
