I generally begin my day with tea and Yerba Mate has been a favorite of mine for many years. I drink moved Guayaki because I read their story. The Incas have been savoring Yerba Mate for centuries. I have discovered that the first and second cup gives me a lift, much like any caffeine drink. If you let it sit a few hours, it develops a beautiful deep green color. I think it is the chlorophyll coming out of the leaves that provides an all-day beverage with a little kick.
