I love all Nicholas Sparks books but this is my 2nd all time favorite written by him!

Sierra's marriage is falling apart. One of her few condolences in life is an ancestor's journal and her own struggle to maintain survival amidst early American terrain. Dual narrative format. Not Francine River's best work. Entertaining but not extremely compelling.
