Lady Eileen Gray. Kathleen Eileen Moray Gray (August 9, 1878 – October 31, 1976) was born into an aristocratic family near Enniscorthy , a small market town in south-eastern Ireland. She went on to become an internationally beloved modernist furniture designer and architect , but much of the recognition came later in her life and after her death. Her pieces are still often copied and seen in modern furniture stores, especially the E1027 adjustable end table and the Bibendum chair.
