During the War of Spanish Succession, a Spanish infantry unit that fought throughout the Peninsula during the 14 long years of conflict. This unit, known at the beginning of the war as Old Purple third, ending with the name of Castilla Infantry Regiment n. # 11, which already gives us one of the keys to this war era: the profound change military structures of thirds to the regiments of the matchlock musket flintlock, from the sink to the bayonet, and many others.
