Ollantaytambo, Peru The Incas built it as a fort that included a temple, agricultural terraces, and an urban area. There are two distinct sectors: Araqama Ayllu, the religious and worship zone, and Qosqo Ayllu, the residential area. Ollantaytambo was an important administrative center with probable military functions if one considers the walls and towers. There are also traces of ancient roads and aqueducts.
Homburg Flea Market (Flohmarkt) is typically held the 1st Saturday of each month all year. However, check the website for date changes. The market is much fuller in the summer months and there are many regulars. Die hards will arrive before opening but you'll still find some fabulous items if you come later in the morning. Be careful to choose parking wisely as many of us have received parking tickets. | Drive: Approx 30 minutes from Kaiserslautern | Address: Am Forum 5, 66424 Homburg
