So, the Raptors did the unthinkable and won two in a row. Not since April have they achieved that mark. Alan Anderson was a spark plug. He made his presence known from beyond the arc. Unfortunately the guy everyone came to see Mr. Linsanity underachieved in a large way!
Inside Purple 2012-13 GM79- During the tail end of the season it has been the Chicago Bulls depleted and all sticking it to the great teams. But this team a less then great team stuck it to the Bulls. Early on the Raptors managed to stick with the game plan and execute with ease. Boozer did the job in the paint and Nate was helping the cause from beyond the arc but the Raptors were determined to keep their heads held high and they did just that.
Inside Purple 2012-13 GM76-77- The NCAA tourney wrapped up yesterday and it was chalk full of fun. The Raptors only fun came against the T-Wolves before getting their ass whopped against the Bucks. But the walking wounded of the Bulls provide hope for the Raptors to steal one over in Chi-town.
Inside Purple GM53- Tech and tech was called a Raptor thrown out and a game that got extremely physical as time went on. But the Raptors surprisingly played aggressive defense of their own and managed to shut the lid on Amare, Novak and the rest of the Knicks. All-Star break means I’m headed to Houston for the fun filled weekend.
We’ve all got questions pertaining to this train wreck of a Raptors season we are subjected too. But how is it that they played even better with just eight healthy bodies opposed to an entire healthy roster. It just boggles my mind. Chemistry or the lack their of chemistry disheartens me too. Did you notice guys actually wanted to play for each other and fight for a purpose without their key contributers. Change… it is a good thing.
So the Thunder were concerned about facing the Raptors so early on a Sunday afternoon. To think the Raptors bench could come out explosive against one of the best scoring teams in the league was absurd right?! Unfortunately, the result said it all. The Thunder’s stretch of 11-13 on the road began in fine style. Durant cross over against DeRozan proves they are just one hurdle away from winning it all.
Inside Purple 2012-13 GM42- For the 3rd time in 4 games the Raptors headed to OT hoping for a victory. Well, the outcome didn’t sway their way. Alan Anderson & Jose Calderon fell flat from beyond the arc. The big three of the Heat took over the game. Good teams allow their talent to shine when the game is on the line.
Inside Purple 2012-13 GM47- So if my friend Oliver is geeked about this new line up then I must have to be too. He said it is the best starting line up since 2001. Bold statement! But I like the way Kyle Lowry is coming into his own and playing like Alvin off the bounce. It might just be a Philly thing. But his best friend Rudy Gay was clutch!
So are the Toronto Raptors just left with their hardcore fans? Have all those who apparently road the bandwagon become apathetic? There was life but it lasted less then 48 minutes. There are no answers as to why the Raptors are playing the way they are. They are shall we say "soft?!" What is next? Could it be a loss in Portland?
It got really nasty Inside the Purple Room! I’m not holding back. I spoke my mind and got frustrated after witnessing a team lacking the energy to perform on the defensive end of the floor. Press play and listen to how technical it had to get inside the purple room.
