Time is fast ticking for the Congress. Trinamool Congress ministers have sought time from the Prime Minister for tomorrow in keeping with their leader Mamata Banerjee's deadline. Sources in TMC have told NewsX that Railway Minister Mukul Roy wrote a letter on behalf of all TMC ministers making the request. Two ministers of TMC are already in the capital and the remaining four ministers are landing later today.
Former UPA ally Trinanmool Congress today said West Bengal was "thoroughly deprived" in the reshuffle of the Union council of ministers as none was made a cabinet minister and the three Congress leaders made ministers of state were there only to "needle" TMC. The three Congress leaders from the state, all bitter critics of Mamata Banerjee, were picked up as ministers only to "needle" TMC, Saugata Roy said and ruled out its impact on the party's political growth.
