Jo, who was being treated for rare lung condition pulmonary veno-occlusive disease, died peacefully on Thursday (2 May) afternoon with her family beside her. A World Class Performance rider, Jo represented Great Britain up to Paralympic level and was a regular Grade II national and international competitor. With her long term partner Estralita, she claimed the Grade II title at British Dressage’s winter championships less than a month ago. A strong woman, who lived strong.
