The ruins of the Old Mill Bathing Beach in Paramus can still be found on Paramus Road. Nearby was the Paramus Bathing Beach, which closed in 1962; a housing development was constructed on the site in the 1980s.
Teterboro is the oldest operating airport in the New York and New Jersey metropolitan area. In 1917, Walter C. Teter acquired the property, with the airport first operating in 1919. During World War II, the Army and Air Force took over operation of the airport.
