Sue Grafton's Alphabet Series is light, fun reading. The lead character is Kinsey Milhone, a private eye, and a very unconventional, unpretentious female operating in a male dominated field. Each book is a letter in the alphabet such A is for Alibi.
Currently reading this Sue Grafton novel... I have read all the others. I take forever to read her because I thoroughly enjoy reading about Kinsey Milhone's adventures based in Santa Teresa, CA (aka Santa Barbara)... you will love this series of the Alphabet Mysteries.
Amazon.com: V is for Vengeance (KINSEY MILLHONE MYSTERY) eBook: Sue Grafton: Books. I always enjoy Kinsey's dogged persistence and her lifestyle; this book showcased both. One of the best of the series. 3 stars. 417 pages
Just finished reading the new Jackie Collins’ novel, The Power Trip. Similar to her other books, there was a full cast of characters. I enjoyed the book, but it was not as fun or engrossing as the Lucky Santangelo books or other recent stories, Poor Little Bitch Girl and Goddess of Vengeance. The Power Trip has scandal, murder, revenge, and unbelievable wealth (the usual suspects in a Collins’ novel) and is recommended for summer/beach reading.
Vegan with a Vengeance is more than just another great cookbook, is that the recipes are interspersed with pages offering resources, organizational suggestions, and many poignant past experiences in the punk world like her travels to cook with the group Food Not Bombs. These pages are so compelling you may want to take the book to bed and just enjoy reading for the fun of it. And when you awake in the morning, haul out the waffle iron and bake up a batch of Ginger-Pear Waffles.
