Another block from "Japanese Quilt Blocks to Mix & Match" by Susan Briscoe.  I used freezer paper templates for the flower shapes and pearle cotton for the embroidery.  The flower centers shapes were very difficult to get uniform and smooth.  Block measures 9".

denim quilt ~ I so want to make one! But i don't think this "random" pattern would work with my OCD, lol!

What a great denim patchwork quilt! I've got oodles of jeans that have been waiting for such a project. Maybe I'll line the back w/an old shower curtain or vinyl tablecloth to make it a park/picnic blanket. by ola
