Conspiracay for Good: "A few years ago, I started thinking about an entirely new way to tell a story, far different from traditional TV. I didn't just want to talk about 'saving the world' in fiction, I wanted to create a narrative that spilled out into the streets. One that you could live inside of for a while. How cool would it be, I thought, to create a story that exists all around you all of the time?
Granito: How to Nail a Dictator is a story of destinies joined by Guatemala’s past, and how a documentary film intertwined with a nation’s turbulent history emerges as an active player in the present. In Granito our characters sift for clues buried in archives of mind and place and historical memory, seeking to uncover a narrative that could unlock the past and settle matters of life and death in the present.
Activism is a location-based urban game that maps the history of activism onto the streets where it happened, as players reenact and re-create the actions that once took place there. Structured as a non-linear race, teams move between historic sites in any order they choose, completing challenges with varying degrees of difficulty and risk.
