In the early 1900s, entrepreneur J.W. Lyon started giving away land to factories and selling small residential lots in St. Patrick's Ward, just outside downtown Guelph ON, Canada. Soon, thousands of European immigrants, mostly Italian, started coming here to work in those factories and live in the small stone and brick workers' cottages.

Margaret Mitchell House: A beautiful example of Tudor Revival style is the Margaret Mitchell House, a three-story building built in 1899, where Mitchell lived when she wrote her Pulitzer Prize-winning novel, Gone With the Wind. Since then, it has gone through many changes, but it remains true to its Tudor style. The steep, multi-gabled roof lines and decorative half-timber framing are classic attributes.

Took granddaughter Ivy for a visit to the Margaret Mitchell House & Museum-it's where Mitchell wrote Gone with the Wind, Atlanta, Ga. Atlanta is a great city!
