Nursing Students Without Borders at VCU — a nonprofit organization that encourages public health both in the Richmond community and internationally — traveled to Guatemala on an annual service trip to improve the quality of life and health of villagers.
Each year since 2008, GH2DP has traveled to northern Honduras to improve the health of 2,000 residents across 17 villages, to introduce medical students to global health issues and to conduct global health research.
VCU Police Department and Virginia Tech Police have partnered for a two-week officer exchange, a first-of-its-kind program giving a patrol supervisor from each department the opportunity to work with colleagues in a campus environment that is different from their own.
