Matthew 5:13-16 | I want to reflect the light of Jesus to everyone I come in contact with. That is so vague. I know I should be specific because I know some of the people I will come in contact with today. Just how present is His light in me? Is it shining into those dark places and making me come alive? Is it giving my soul unspeakable joy? It should, but other things are blocking that Light. I need to know my own sin and my need for the Savior more and love Him more dearly. I must have a…

To me, this is a good reminder. I've been thinking about how David spent much of his time outdoors, and how he must have found sanctuary as much outdoors as he did when he was visiting the homes or tents of prophets and other faithful Israelites. David also had a longing to abide in a great sanctuary built to God with hands. And I've thought about how men do tend to think that way; we, on the other hand, can be more easily contented abiding in the sanctuary of our heart.
