While writing my reflection, I came across the Christian organization Habitat for Humanity which dedicates their time and talent by building affordable homes for the poor, especially natural disaster victims. They not only make other people's lives better but they do so with a strong sense of compassion, a genuinely Christian quality.

The Christian Tradition: In Breaking up with God, the author states the idea that no one wants to be the one that saves the world. When given the choice, they would rather say "its God's doing, not mine." This brings up the point that maybe, its us that can change the world..humans. I did not like this part of the book because I believe that although liberating to think, I still like the idea of having a God Super-Hero up in heaven looking out for everyone.

I really believe, but I can’t hang on much longer.” "That’s all right, if you really believe you have nothing to worry about. I will save you. Just let go of the branch.” A moment of pause, then: “Is anyone else up…
