Making traditional herbal remedies at Anglo Saxon Norse and Celtic.  Garlic was used for infections, lichens for bad chests and for healing broken bones, and chamomile for digestive illnesses. Fungi were used in a range of medicines. Plants were used to make salves (ointments), poultices, infusions (strained water in which plants have been boiled) and other medicines to be taken by mouth.
