A glimpse into the lives of upper crust African-American society who summer on Martha's Vineyard and the inner circle of an Ivy League Law School. The author is a professor of law at Yale Law School. Every subsequent book he has written is as well written as this one. This was his first novel, one which I thoroughly enjoyed.

Lie Down with Lions by Ken Follett

In C.J. Box’s 13th book in the Joe Pickett series, Joe, a Wyoming game warden, must weigh his devotion to law enforcement versus his personal values and integrity. The story starts off with murder of two EPA agents and the flight of accused murder Butch Roberson. Box’s books are always full of suspense and action. A good read!
