(c) Mia Carlsson   Festival author Frida Nilsson was born in Hardemo, Sweden in 1979. Her parents ran a “moonshine farm”, as a part-time farming business is called. Her father’s “real” job was as a journalist. She inherited his enthusiasm for theatre. Nilsson has taught children’s theatre, moderated children’s programs in radio and television and written plays for children’s radio. Since 2004 she has enjoyed much success as a writer and in 2006 was nominated for the prestigious August Prize.

He studied literature and linguistics in Kiel, Tübingen and Berlin as well as arts administration in Weimar, among other things. He helped build a department store and also worked there as a cashier. Today he earns his living as a script-writer for advertisements and as a writing instructor at Hamburg University.

Anne-Laure Bondoux already wrote stories as a child and composed her first novel at 18. Her first publications appeared in magazines. Since 2000, she has dedicated herself to writing full-time. Her works have been translated into 20 languages

Festival author Nikolaj Ponomarev, both born in 1976, are from Omsk in Siberia, where they still live today with their five children. Both studied social pedagogy and psychology and began to write books together at age 22. Since then, their books for young adults have become known all over Russia.

Turkish Festival author Suzan Geridönmez was born in 1966 in Kaiserslautern, Germany, but at age 14 decided to live with relatives in Turkey. She studied German language and literature in Istanbul and completed training in Austria to be a librarian.
